Stark & Marsh is proud of Saskatchewan. We believe it is our responsibility to support our community through volunteering, donations, scholarships and organizing events and projects.

GoGreen Swift Current

To date, GoGreen has helped plant over 4,000 trees and shrubs in the City of Swift Current. As a result, this interactive map highlights the planting site locations over the years—offering a clear view of our collective impact.

About GoGreen

GoGreen is an annual event in Swift Current that aims to beautify our community while reducing our carbon footprint.

GoGreen 2025 took place on September 12th in partnership with Innovation Federal Credit Union. Volunteers planted a total of 463 trees and shrubs across 8 project sites, and beautified an additional 3 site locations in town.

    • Kinetic Park qty. 8
    • Ball Diamonds South Entrance qty. 10

  • Caragana Planting
    • Memory Garden Cemetery Pathway Extension qty. 150
    • Gladstone Street W – Caragana Planting qty. 200
  • Flower Bed Clean up at:
    • RBC
    • Walsh Trail
  • Chinook Pathway Garbage Collection

Volunteer Information

GoGreen is made possible thanks to our incredible volunteer base. Each year, as participation continues to grow, we welcome over 100 volunteers!

To keep things organized, volunteer shifts run from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.

GoGreen volunteers eat for free at our GoGreen lunch over the noon hour!

Our GoGreen BBQ raised $850.00 all of which was donated to the Southwest Facilities Foundation.

GOGREEN HISTORY

GoGreen began in 2009 after consultations with the City of Swift Current revealed a need for a fall cleanup in and around the community. Since then, we have proudly organized this event each year as part of our commitment to environmental stewardship. As a result, GoGreen now draws over 100 community participants annually, including Stark & Marsh employees and clients. Over the years, GoGreen Swift Current has contributed to the planting of more than 4,500 trees and shrubs, helping to enhance our city’s green spaces.

Projects typically include:

  • Tree and shrub planting
  • Landscaping
  • Pathway clean up
  • Flower bed maintenance
  • Mulching

Beautification projects have also taken place in Cabri and Assiniboia and we continue to welcome requests from organizations as needs arise.
