Go Green

I feel so good that, as a client of Stark & Marsh CPA LLP, your Professional and Support staff actually go out and work with the volunteers on this particular project.  I realize, of course, that Stark Marsh donates to many causes but, in my opinion, GO GREEN is special in so many ways.  Your energy and dedication will benefit Swift Current for many years into the future. The idea, positive message, people working together for common good, and past/present/future results rate an A+ in my records.  – Joan Willliamson

Go Green began in 2009, after consultations with the City of Swift Current revealed a need for a fall clean up in and around the city. As a corporate citizen, we are committed to our environment and proudly organize this event each year. Go Green draws over 100 community participants annually, including Stark & Marsh employees and clients. As a result, Go Green has contributed to the planting of over 2,200 trees and shrubs.

Some Go Green projects include:

  • Tree and shrub planting
  • Landscaping
  • Pathway clean up
  • Flower bed maintenance
  • Mulching

2018 Outcome

Stark & Marsh and Innovation Credit Unions 10th Annual Go Green took place on September 21st, 2018 in Swift Current. Volunteers totaled 150 with 12 project sites throughout our Community. We would like to recognize the following organizations and community members that volunteered at this years Go Green:

  • Southwest Homes
  • Canadian Mental Health
  • Sask. Abilities
  • Swift Current Chamber of Commerce
  • Southwest Crisis Services
  • Mercator Financial
  • JAG Landscaping
  • Matrix Solutions
  • Great Plains College
  • Stephanie Prpick Boss
  • David & Lorna Spencer

Without quality volunteers Go Green wouldn’t be the success it is today.

Our Go Green BBQ raised $516 for Canadian Mental Health and we were able to finish all project sites planned for the day by early afternoon. Thank you to the City of Swift Current and Swift Current Creek Watershed Stewards for planning and organizing our project sites for the day.

We welcome you to visit our Facebook page to see photos from the day!
